Started receiving materials this week and will be begin installing new water line on North Ohio Avenue next week.
HARTLAND/STEALEY AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The contractor continued working on installing the new 6” water line along Verdun Street. When the tie in was being made to Hartland Avenue it was determined that the existing water line on lower Hartland Avenue was in worse shape than previously thought, so it is also being replaced. The work schedule for the upcoming week is to complete the new 6” water line on lower Hartland Avenue and continue installing the new water line on Verdun Street out to Magnolia Avenue. The contractor will also begin testing the line previously installed on Verdun Street and begin service connections.
Fire and EMS service to the Verdun Street area should not be affected. Flaggers are setup in the work area to allow local traffic to enter and exit.
ARMORY ROAD - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
The contractor has moved on to another project until the materials for the Chestnut Hills portion of the project arrive. It is anticipated that the materials will arrive sometime in late August to early September.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
The contractor began installing the new service connections from State Electric to Brown Street this week and completed the permanent trench repairs in those areas. A main sanitary sewer line failure was discovered at the corner of East Pike St and South Maple Avenue in the area of a previously installed water line. The contractor spent 3 days making repairs to the sewer line, which resulted in a delay to water line work. Now that the sewer line is repaired work will continue next week on East Pike Street from Brown Street to South Florence Street.
Fire and EMS service to the streets off East Pike Street could be affected this coming week. Only one street at a time will be impacted and flaggers will be on site to help with rerouting service.
DOWNTOWN AREA (NEAR WENDY'S) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
The contractor continued the installation of the new sanitary sewer system along with the new storm system from Wendy’s to O’Reilly Auto Parts this week. For the upcoming week, work will continue on the new sanitary sewer and storm system along West Pike Street in the area from O’Reilly Auto Parts towards McDonalds.
Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike Street should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
