NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
This week, the contractor completed installation of the new main water line on Hamill Avenue from 21st Street to 22nd Street, on Williams Avenue from 20th Street to 21st Street, and completed service connections on both Hamill Avenue and Williams Avenue.
For the upcoming week, work will continue on extending the new main water line along Hamill Avenue and Williams Avenue to 23rd Street. Customer service connections will follow the main line installation and will be activated after the lines pass required testing. Asphalt trench repairs are ongoing on Goff Avenue, Hamill Avenue, 17th, 19th, 20th, and 21st Streets.
“No Parking” signs will be posted in active work zones—please arrange alternative parking during designated work hours. Vehicles left in work areas may be safely relocated if owners cannot be reached. If driveway access is needed, please speak directly with the onsite contractor.
Temporary road closures will be as follows:
Hamill Avenue from 22nd Street to 23rd Street
22nd Street from Hamill Avenue to Williams Avenue
Williams Avenue from 21st Street to 23rd Street
Detour and road closure signage will be clearly posted.
Fire and EMS access in North View are not expected to be impacted.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
All customer service connections on and around Waverly Way are now complete, except for those on Temple Terrace, which will be finished now that the gas line replacement is done. Planned tie-ins at John Avenue and the directional bore between John Avenue and Ryder Avenue are scheduled for completion by March 25. The new main water line installation is finished on Woodland Avenue to Joseph Street, and on Joseph Street from Woodland Avenue to Simpson Street. Service connections are underway on Woodland Avenue, Ash Avenue, and in the alley off Euclid Avenue. Main water line work began this week on Hemsworth Way and Pick Street and will continue next week.
Next week’s focus will be Joseph Street toward Duff Street, continued progress on Woodland Avenue to the dead end, and new customer service connections on Woodland Avenue, Hemsworth Way, Pick Street, and Joseph Street. Weather permitting, concrete repairs and yard restoration will resume in the Hartland area.

Woodland Avenue from Ash Avenue to Joseph Street

Hemsworth Way from Coolidge Street to Pick Street (open to school buses and local residents)
Fire and EMS access to the Stealey area near the park are not expected to be affected. Flaggers will facilitate local traffic as needed.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
The contractor has completed all main water line and service installations for this project, and asphalt patching is finished. Final milling and paving are scheduled for spring, pending suitable weather.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
This week, the contractor made several tie-ins between the new and existing main water lines at side streets along West Main Street and West Pike Street. The new main water line installation on Chestnut Street (between Main Street and Pike Street) is complete, and multiple customer service connections were completed on West Main Street and West Pike Street.
For the week ahead, work will continue on the new main water line in Traders Alley (between Chestnut Street and Sixth Street). Remaining customer service connections on West Pike Street will be completed, and the tie-ins at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Washington Avenue are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, which will require a temporary service interruption. Affected customers will be notified directly by the Clarksburg Water Board.
Closures and traffic impacts:
Traders Alley from Chestnut Street to Fourth Street will be closed.
The intersection of Washington Avenue and Chestnut Street will be closed Thursday and Friday. Flaggers and detours will be in place.
Fire and EMS access will not be impacted; traffic will be managed by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Work on new storm inlets continues on West Pike Street and West Main Street toward Chestnut Street. Milling and paving of trenches on West Pike Street started this week and will continue in the coming weeks. New storm inlet installation on Chestnut Street (between West Main Street and Washington Avenue) is underway. The paving crew has milled Second Street and Monticello Avenue; paving is scheduled for next week.
Traffic impacts:
West Main Street and West Pike Street will be reduced to one lane from Wendy’s to Chestnut Street.
Monticello Avenue and Second Street (between Main Street and Pike Street) will be closed or reduced to one lane during paving.
Fire and EMS access on the West End of Pike and Main Streets are not expected to be affected, though some traffic congestion is possible.
