Weekly update from Bobby Tenney (Senior Project Representative) on the Clarksburg Water Board (CWB) and Clarksburg Sanitary Board (CSB) Projects:
This is the update for the week of 12/29 and schedule for the week of 1/5-1/9.
NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor made customer service connections on Richards Avenue and Pearlman Avenue between 16th Street and the Dead End off of 18th Street.
The new main line on 17th Street between Goff Avenue and Gould Avenue and customer service connections on 19th Street were worked on this week and will continue next week.
The main line tie ins at 18th Street and Henderson Avenue will be completed on Monday and 16th Street and Barnes Avenue on Tuesday.
The contractor will begin installing the new customer services on Goff Avenue and Hamill Avenue between 16th Street and 17th Street this week.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted working hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.
17th Street will be closed in blocks between Goff Avenue and Gould Avenue this week.
Fire and EMS access in North View should not be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The contractor will continue making concrete repairs this week in the Hartland area. This week the contractor will be working in the alley between Ryder Avenue and Waverly Way and on Waverly Way between Milford Street and Temple Terrace.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.
Waverly Way between Milford Street and Temple Terrace will be one lane for new main installation starting next week.
Fire and EMS access to the Upper Hartland area should not be affected. Flaggers are setup in the work area to allow local traffic to enter and exit.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
The contractor has completed the new main water line and services on the project and placed asphalt patch. The final milling and paving are scheduled for next spring when the weather allows.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The contractor will be making main line tie ins at the intersection of 2nd Street and Pike Street this week, 2nd Street will be closed from Pike Street to Traders Alley. The new water line installation on West Pike Street at the intersection by Wendy’s will continue towards the Wye this week.
The area near Wendy’s and Subway will be one lane this week and 2nd Street will be closed Monday and Tuesday from Pike Street to Traders Alley.
Fire and EMS access should not be affected; traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
The contractor will continue to install the new main storm system between Chestnut Street and 6th Street. The new sanitary service connections between Wendy’s and Ferry Street will continue next week.
West Pike Street will be one lane in the area from Subway to the Wye. West Main Street will be one lane from Chestnut Street to 6th Street.
Fire and EMS access on the West End of Pike and Main Streets should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
