Project Updates - January 27

Weekly update from Bobby Tenney (Senior Project Representative) on the Clarksburg Water Board (CWB) and Clarksburg Sanitary Board (CSB) Projects:

This is the update for the week of 1/19 and schedule for the week of 1/26-1/30.

NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING

The contractor installed the new main water line and customer services on Hamill Ave between 16th and 17th Streets this past week. The new main water line and customer services on Hamill and Goff Avenues between 16th and 20th Streets was started this past week and will continue next week. The new water line was installed, and customer services were started on the Alley off of 16th Street between Williams Avenue and West Virginia Avenue.

NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted working hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.

NO WORK THIS WEEK DUE TO THE WEATHER.

HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES

The contractor completed the new main water line on Ryder Avenue off Temple Terrace this past week and started installing new customer services. The contractor tied in the new main water line on Waverly Way at Milford Street this past week. The new main water line was started on Euclid Avenue this past week and will continue towards Coolidge Street once the weather allows.

NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.

CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING

The contractor has completed the new main water line and services on the project and placed asphalt patch. The final milling and paving are scheduled for next spring when the weather allows.

DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB

CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES

The new customer service connections on West Pike Street from Wendy’s to the Wye were completed this past week. The new main water line continued on West Pike Street this past week from Sycamore Street towards Chestnut Street.

NO WORK THIS WEEK DUE TO THE WEATHER.

DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB

CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING

The new sanitary service connections between Ferry Street and Chestnut Street were completed this past week. The contractor completed the new storm water manhole at the intersection of West Main and Ferry Streets this past week.
