Weekly update from Bobby Tenney (Senior Project Representative) on the Clarksburg Water Board (CWB) and Clarksburg Sanitary Board (CSB) Projects:
This is the update for the week of 1/12 and schedule for the week of 1/19-1/23.
NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor completed the new main line and customer services on Franklin Avenue and Hamill Avenue between 15th and 16th Streets this past week.
The new main water line and customer services on Hamill and Goff Avenues between 16th and 20th Streets was started this past week and will continue next week.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted working hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.
Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue will be closed in sections between 16th and 20th Streets this week.
Fire and EMS access in North View on Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue will be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The contractor continued making concrete repairs this past week in the Hartland area. The contractor continued installing the new main water line on Ryder Avenue off Temple Terrace this past week and that will be completed next week. The contractor completed the new main water line on Waverly Way between Milford Street and Temple Terrace this week and will begin working on Euclid Avenue next week.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.
Euclid Avenue between Milford Street and Nichols Street will be one lane for new main water line installation starting next week.
Fire and EMS access should not be affected. Flaggers are setup in the work area to allow local traffic to enter and exit.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
The contractor has completed the new main water line and services on the project and placed asphalt patch. The final milling and paving are scheduled for next spring when the weather allows.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The new water line installation on West Pike Street from Wendy’s to the Wye was completed this past week and will continue east on Pike Street next week. This week the contractor will be working on 3rd Street installing the new main water line and tie ins at the intersections of West Pike and West Main Streets.
West Pike Street from Chestnut Street to Sycamore Street will be one lane this week and 3rd Street will be closed from Main Street to Pike Street.
Fire and EMS access should not be affected; traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
The contractor completed the new main storm system between 6th Street and the Board of Education this past week. The new sanitary service connections between Ferry Street and Chestnut Street started and will continue next week. The contractor will be installing a new storm water manhole at the intersection of West Main Street and Ferry Street beginning Monday, this work requires West Main Street to remain closed from the Wye to Sumner Street, Monday through Wednesday.
West Pike Street will be closed from the Wye to Sumner Street, Monday through Wednesday. West Pike Street will be one lane from Chestnut Street to Sycamore Street.
Fire and EMS access on the West End of Pike and Main Streets should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times. Emergency vehicles will be permitted through the West Main Street closure.
