NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor completed the new main water line on 21st Street from Williams Avenue toward West Virginia Avenue and finished installing new customer meter settings on Williams Avenue. Yard restoration and sidewalk repairs continued throughout the project area.
This week’s schedule includes installing new customer meter settings on 21st Street from Williams Avenue to West Virginia Avenue and beginning installation of the new main water line on 20th Street from Goff Avenue to Gould Avenue. Yard restorations, as well as concrete sidewalk and street repairs, will continue throughout the project.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in active work sections. Please use alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in the work zone will be towed to a safe location if the owner cannot be located. If you require driveway access, please speak to the onsite contractor.
21st Street will be closed from Williams Avenue to West Virginia Avenue.
20th Street will be closed from Goff Avenue to Gould Avenue, with a detour to 19th Street.
Road Closed signs will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service in North View should not be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The new main waterline was installed on Collins Avenue. New customer meter settings were set on Woodland Avenue, Pick Street, and Ash Avenue. Concrete sidewalk repairs and yard restorations continued throughout the project. Paving was completed on Charter Street, South Alexander Avenue, Hartland Avenue, Ryder Avenue, Rodney Street, Waverly Way, and Coolidge Street.
This week, crews will continue installing new customer meter settings on West Woodland Avenue, Ash Avenue, Pick Street, Hemsworth Way, Joseph Street, and Duff Street. The contractor will also continue concrete repairs and yard restorations throughout the area. Trench paving is scheduled for Euclid Avenue, Ash Street, and Woodland Avenue.
NO PARKING signs will be posted in the sections where work is planned. Please use alternate parking during posted work hours. Vehicles parked in the work zone will be towed if the owner cannot be located. For driveway access, please speak to the onsite contractor.
Woodland Avenue from Joseph Street to the Dead End, Pick Street, Ash Street, Hemsworth Way, and Duff Street will be closed throughout the week.
Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area around the park should not be affected.
Flaggers will allow local traffic to enter and exit the work area.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
Paving on Kramer Drive and Hayes Street was completed this week.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The contractor completed the new main water line and new customer service connections on 3rd Street, and continued installing the new main water line in Traders Alley. Multiple concrete sidewalks were repaired this week; that work will continue this week.
This week’s schedule includes installing new customer meter settings on Traders Alley between Chestnut Street and 4th Street. Concrete sidewalk and trench repairs will continue.
Traders Alley will be closed from Chestnut Street to 4th Street.
Fire and EMS service should not be affected; traffic will be managed by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Final cleanup of storm inlets and sanitary manholes was completed this week. Several sidewalks were repaired on the West End of Main Street and Pike Street.
This week, restoration work will continue on West Main Street and West Pike Street.
West Pike Street and West Main Street will be reduced to one lane at times from Wendy’s to 6th Street.
Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike and Main Streets should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
