NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor began installation of the new main water line on 21st Street from Williams Avenue toward West Virginia Avenue and completed the new main on 23rd Street. Customer service connections were installed on Hamill Avenue, 23rd Street, and Williams Avenue. Yard restoration and sidewalk repairs continued throughout the project area.
The schedule for next week includes continuing installation of the new main water line on 21st Street from Williams Avenue to West Virginia Avenue and installing additional customer service connections on Hamill Avenue, 21st Street, and Williams Avenue. Yard restorations and new concrete sidewalks will be poured between 19th Street and 22nd Street along Hamill Avenue.
NO PARKING signs will be posted in active work zones. Please use alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in the work zone will be towed to a safe location if the owner cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak with the onsite contractor.
21st Street will be closed from Williams Avenue to West Virginia Avenue.
Hamill Avenue will be closed between 19th and 20th Streets for concrete sidewalk repairs.
Road Closed signs will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service in North View should not be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The new main waterline was installed on Baver Street, Marion Street, and Ridenour Street. New customer service connections were installed on Woodland Avenue. Concrete sidewalk repairs and yard restorations continued throughout the project. Milling and paving were completed across the project area.
Next week, the contractor will continue main line installation on Stealey Avenue, Collins Avenue, and Duff Street from Hall Street to Joseph Street. New customer service installations will continue on West Woodland Avenue. Concrete repairs and yard restorations will continue in the Hartland Area and Temple Terrace. Street paving will continue on Upper Hartland Avenue, Charter Street, Charter Street Extension, and South Alexander Avenue.
NO PARKING signs will be posted in work areas. Please use alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in work zones will be towed if the owner cannot be located. For driveway access, please speak with the onsite contractor.
Duff Avenue will be one lane from Joseph Street to Hall Street.
Stealey Avenue will be closed at Morgan Street.
Collins Avenue will be closed from Duncan Avenue to Baver Street, except for school buses and local residents.
Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area around the park should not be affected.
Flaggers are stationed in the work area to allow local traffic to enter and exit.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
Kramer Drive and Hayes Street will be closed for paving on Monday, April 20th.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The contractor completed new customer service connections on 3rd Street and continued laying the new main water line in Traders Alley. Several concrete sidewalks were repaired this week; that work will continue next week.
Next week’s schedule includes completing tie-ins at the intersection of 3rd Street and Pike Street and ongoing work in Traders Alley between 5th and 4th Street. Concrete sidewalk and trench repairs will continue.
One lane of Pike Street and 3rd Street will be closed during the tie-in.
3rd Street will be closed Monday to complete customer service connections.
Traders Alley will be closed from 5th Street to 4th Street.
Fire and EMS service should not be affected; traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Storm inlet work was completed this week, and several sidewalks on the West End of Pike Street were repaired.
The contractor will complete restoration work on West Main Street and West Pike Street next week.
West Pike Street and West Main Street will be reduced to one lane at times from Wendy’s to 6th Street.
Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike and Main Streets should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
