NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING

The contractor installed new customer services on 21st Street from Williams Avenue toward West Virginia Avenue and continued new customer service connections on Williams Avenue. Installation of the new main water line began on 20th Street from Goff Avenue toward Gould Avenue. Yard restoration and sidewalk repairs continued throughout the project area.


For the week of May 4–8, 2026, the contractor plans to complete new customer service connections on Williams Avenue and finish the new main water line on 20th Street from Goff Avenue to Gould Avenue. Yard restorations, as well as concrete sidewalk and street repairs, are scheduled to continue throughout the project.

NO PARKING signs will be placed in the active work sections, and residents are advised to seek alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in the work zone would be towed to a safe location if the owner could not be located. Residents needing driveway access are encouraged to speak with the contractor onsite.


20th Street will be closed from Goff Avenue to Gould Avenue, with a detour to 19th Street. Williams Avenue will be closed in sections from 21st Street to 25th Street.


Road Closed signs will be in place, and alternate routes are recommended.


Fire and EMS service in North View is not expected to be affected this week.


HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES

New customer meter settings were installed on Woodland Avenue, Pick Street, Carpenter Street, and Hemsworth Way. Concrete sidewalk repairs and yard restorations continued throughout the project area. Trench paving continued on Euclid Avenue and Woodland Avenue.


The schedule for the week of May 4–8, 2026, includes continued installation of new customer meter settings on West Woodland Avenue, Joseph Street, Nicholas Street, Carpenter Street, Hall Street, and Duff Street. Concrete repairs and yard restorations will continue. Trench paving is scheduled to continue on Woodland Avenue, Hemsworth Way, Pick Street, and Carpenter Street.

Woodland Avenue from Joseph Street to the Dead End, Pick Street, Ash Street, Hemsworth Way, Nicholas Street, Hall Street, and Duff Street will be closed at times throughout the week. Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place, and alternate routes are recommended.


Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area around the park is not expected to be affected. Flaggers will be present to allow local traffic to enter and exit.


CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING

Final cleanup and yard restorations are scheduled.


DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB

CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES

The contractor completed the new main water line in Traders Alley and began installing new customer meter settings. Several concrete sidewalk repairs were completed last week, with additional repairs planned for the following week.


For the week of May 4–8, 2026, the contractor plans to install new customer meter settings on Traders Alley between Chestnut Street and 4th Street. Concrete sidewalk repairs and trench repairs are scheduled to continue.


Traders Alley will be closed from Chestnut Street to 4th Street.


Fire and EMS service is not expected to be affected, and traffic control would be managed by flaggers.


DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB

CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING

Final cleanup of storm inlets and sanitary manholes continued last week. Several sidewalks were repaired on the West End of Main Street and Pike Street.


The contractor plans to complete restoration work on West Main Street and West Pike Street during this week.


West Pike Street and West Main Street is expected to be reduced to one lane at times from Wendy’s to 6th Street.


Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike and Main Streets are not expected to be affected, though some traffic congestion might occur.
