NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING

Work Completed

The contractor completed installation of the new main waterline on 21st Street from Pearlman Avenue toward Green Street. The contractor also completed a main waterline tie-in on the 20th Street side of Pearlman Avenue.

Concrete sidewalk repairs were completed throughout the project area. Several streets between 12th and 20th Streets were also paved.

Work Scheduled for This Week

The contractor is scheduled to complete two main waterline tie-ins at 21st Street and Pearlman Avenue and finish the remaining new customer service installations on 21st Street. A new 2-inch waterline will also be installed on 21st Street to the dead end.

Concrete sidewalk repairs will continue throughout the project area.

Traffic Information

NO PARKING signs will be placed in areas where the contractor is scheduled to work. Residents are asked to find alternate parking during the posted working hours. If a vehicle is parked within an active work zone and the owner cannot be located, the vehicle will be moved to a safe location. Residents who need access to their driveways should speak directly with the contractor onsite.

The following streets and intersections will be closed at times during construction activities:

Intersection of 21st Street and Pearlman Avenue

Henderson Avenue from 20th Street to 21st Street

21st Street from Green Avenue to the dead end

Road Closed signs will be in place as necessary. Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time through the North View area.

Emergency Services

Fire and EMS services in North View are not expected to be affected this week.

HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES

Work Completed

The contractor completed concrete sidewalk repairs on Milford Street from Magnolia Avenue to Hall Street. Work continued on Milford Street from North Avenue to Park Boulevard with the installation of the new main waterline and customer service connections.

The paving crew completed trench paving on Milford Street behind the mainline installation. New customer service connections were also completed on Milford Street from Euclid Avenue to Baker Street.

Work Scheduled for This Week

The contractor will continue work on Milford Street between North Avenue and Park Boulevard to install the new main waterline. Work hours on Milford Street will return to day shift only this week.

The contractor will continue concrete sidewalk repairs on Milford Street, beginning at Euclid Avenue and progressing toward North Avenue. Restoration crews will also begin backfilling sidewalk areas and seeding and mulching yards throughout the project area.

Milford Street will be reduced to one lane in sections from Euclid Avenue to Park Boulevard, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Additional streets may be affected depending on construction progress. Daily updates will be posted as conditions change.

Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place as necessary. Motorists should use alternate routes whenever possible.

Emergency Services

Fire and EMS access to the Stealey area along Milford Street will be affected by construction activities. Flaggers will be stationed within the work area to assist emergency services and allow local traffic to safely enter and exit.
