NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
Bear Contracting completed installation of the new main water line on Hamill Avenue from 22nd Street to 23rd Street, and on Williams Avenue from 21st Street to 22nd Street. Service installations were completed on both Hamill Avenue and Williams Avenue. Trench paving was finished on Hamill Avenue from 15th to 17th Street, on Goff Avenue from 16th to 17th Street, and on 17th Street from Pride Avenue to Hamill Avenue.
The upcoming schedule includes continuing installation of the new main water line on Hamill Avenue and Williams Avenue toward 24th Street. Customer service lines will be installed behind the new main line and connected after successful testing. Asphalt trench repairs will continue throughout the week.
NO PARKING signs will be posted in active work areas. Please plan to use alternate parking during the posted hours. Vehicles parked within the construction zone will be relocated to a safe area if owners cannot be reached. If you require access to your driveway, please coordinate directly with the contractor onsite.
Hamill Avenue will be closed from 22nd Street to 24th Street. 22nd Street will be closed from Hamill Avenue to Williams Avenue. Williams Avenue will be closed from 21st Street to 23rd Street. Road Closed and Detour signs will be clearly marked.
Fire and EMS access in North View will remain unaffected during this period.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The new main water line was completed on Joseph Street from Simpson Street to Duff Avenue, as well as on Hemsworth Way and Pick Street. Installation began on Nicholas Street toward Hall Street, and asphalt trench repairs started on Waverly Way.
Next week, work will continue on Woodland Avenue to the dead end and begin on Hall Street at Duff Avenue, progressing toward Nicholas Street. New customer service connections will start on Euclid Avenue, and the contractor will return to the Hartland area for concrete repairs and yard restorations.
Please be advised: Water service will be interrupted for customers on John Avenue on March 25 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. This will also require closing John Avenue and Temple Terrace at Ryder Avenue.
NO PARKING signs will be posted in the work zones. Please utilize alternate parking during posted hours. Vehicles left in these zones will be relocated if the owner cannot be contacted. For driveway access, please speak with the onsite contractor.
Woodland Avenue will be closed from Joseph Street to the dead end. Hall Street will be closed from Duff Avenue to Nicholas Street. Euclid Avenue will be closed from Milford Street to Nicholas Street, except for school buses and local residents.
Fire and EMS access to the Stealey area, particularly around the park, will not be affected. Flaggers will be present to assist local traffic.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
All main water line and service installations are complete for this project, and asphalt patching has concluded. Final milling and paving are scheduled for the spring, pending favorable weather conditions.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
Independent Enterprises made tie-ins between the new main water line and the existing main at Sixth Street and West Pike Street. Remaining customer services were installed on West Pike Street. Installation of the new main water line began on Third Street and will continue next week. Temporary trenches were repaired with asphalt or concrete, with additional repairs scheduled for the coming week. Paving on Monticello Avenue and Second Street between Main Street and Pike Street will be completed next week.
Next week’s schedule includes tying in the new and existing lines at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Washington Avenue, Monday through Friday. This will require a temporary service interruption; customers will be notified directly by the Clarksburg Water Board.
The intersection of Washington Avenue and Chestnut Street will be closed Monday through Friday, with flaggers and detours in place.
Fire and EMS access will not be impacted. Traffic will be directed by flaggers for safety.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Work on new storm inlets on Chestnut Street and West Main Street continued this week and will proceed next week. Milling and paving of trenches on West Pike Street began and will continue for the next few weeks. Storm inlet work on West Pike Street from Chestnut Street to the Wye will commence next week.
West Main Street and West Pike Street will be reduced to one lane from Wendy’s to Chestnut Street. Monticello Avenue and Second Street between Main Street and Pike Street will be closed or reduced to one lane during paving activities.
Fire and EMS access on the West End of Pike and Main Streets will not be affected, though some traffic congestion is expected.
