NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING

The contractor completed the new water main tie-ins on Gould Avenue at 21st Street and 23rd Street. New customer service connections continued on Pride Avenue from 20th Street to 24th Street. The gravel trench on Hamill Avenue between 23rd Street and 24th Street was replaced with concrete.


The schedule for next week is to complete the customer service connections on Pride Avenue and on 19th Street between Goff Avenue and Hamill Avenue.


The contractor will be making water main tie-ins on Pride Avenue at 23rd Street on Monday and Tuesday, which will require a temporary water service interruption.


Affected customers will be notified in advance. Gravel trenches on Hamill Avenue between 22nd Street and 23rd Street will be replaced with concrete. Sidewalks on Williams Avenue will be poured.


NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections where the contractor is scheduled to work. Please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked within the work zone, it will be relocated to a safe location if the owner cannot be contacted. If you need access to your driveway, please speak with the contractor on-site.


Pride Avenue will be closed in sections from 20th Street to 24th Street. Gould Avenue will be closed between 22nd Street and 24th Street on Monday and Tuesday.


Road Closed signs will be in place. Please use alternate routes whenever possible.


Fire and EMS service in the North View area should not be affected this week.


HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES

The contractor began installing new customer service connections on Simpson Avenue this week and completed inspections of customer service lines for lead on King Street. Concrete sidewalk repairs were completed on Euclid Avenue and Woodland Avenue. Gravel trenches were replaced with asphalt on Carpenter Street, Ridenour Street, Duff Avenue, Duncan Avenue, Collins Avenue, and Stealey Avenue. Work on the remaining customer services on Ryder Avenue began this week and will be completed next week.


The schedule for next week is to complete customer meter connections on Simpson Avenue and complete the customer service connections on Temple Terrace and Ryder Avenue. The contractor will continue concrete repairs throughout the project. New customer service connections will be installed on Pick Street, Woodland Avenue, Duff Avenue, Duncan Avenue, Collins Avenue, and Carpenter Street. Asphalt trench restoration will continue on streets with gravel trenches. Street milling and paving operations are scheduled to resume on July 17. The contractor will also begin moving equipment and materials to Milford Street in preparation for construction beginning on July 6.


NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections where the contractor is scheduled to work. Please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked within the work zone, it will be relocated to a safe location if the owner cannot be contacted. If you need access to your driveway, please speak with the contractor on-site.


Simpson Avenue, Marion Street, Baver Street, Stealey Avenue, Carpenter Street, and Ridenour Street will be closed periodically throughout the week.


Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place. Please use alternate routes whenever possible.


Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area surrounding the park should not be affected. Flaggers will be stationed throughout the work zone to allow local traffic to safely enter and exit the area.
