Project Updates - January 12

Weekly update from Bobby Tenney (Senior Project Representative) on the Clarksburg Water Board (CWB) and Clarksburg Sanitary Board (CSB) Projects:

This is the update for the week of 1/5 and schedule for the week of 1/12-1/16.

NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING

The contractor made customer service connections on Goff Avenue between 19th Street and 20th Street. The new main line on 17th Street between Goff Avenue and Gould Avenue was completed this week and the trench was paved. The main line tie ins at 18th Street and Henderson Avenue and 16th Street and Barnes Avenue were completed this week. The contractor will begin installing the new main water line on Goff Avenue and Hamill Avenue between 16th Street and 20th Street this week.

NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted working hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.

Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue will be closed in sections between 16th Street and 20th Street this week.

Fire and EMS access in North View on Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue will be affected this week.

HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES

The contractor continued making concrete repairs this week in the Hartland area. The contractor continued installing the new main water line on Ryder Avenue off Temple Terrace this week and that will continue next week. The contractor will be working on Waverly Way between Milford Street and Temple Terrace this week and Euclid Avenue between Milford Street and Coolidge Street.

NO PARKING signs will be placed in the sections the contractor is planning to work, please find alternate parking during the posted work hours. If your vehicle is parked in the work zone, it will be towed to a safe location if you cannot be located. If you need access to your driveway, please speak to the contractor onsite.

Waverly Way between Milford Street and Temple Terrace will be one lane for new main installation starting next week.

Fire and EMS access should not be affected. Flaggers are setup in the work area to allow local traffic to enter and exit.

CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB

CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING

The contractor has completed the new main water line and services on the project and placed asphalt patch. The final milling and paving are scheduled for next spring when the weather allows.

DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB

CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES

The contractor completed the main line tie in at the intersection of 2nd Street and Pike Street this week. The new water line installation on West Pike Street started towards the Wye this week and will continue next week. This week the contractor will be working on 3rd Street installing the new main water line and tie ins at the intersections of West Pike and West Main Streets.

The area near McDonalds will be one lane this week and 3rd Street will be closed from Main Street to Pike Street.

Fire and EMS access should not be affected; traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB

CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING

The contractor will continue to install the new main storm system between 6th Street and the Board of Education this week. The new sanitary service connections between Wendy’s and Ferry Street will continue next week.

West Pike Street will be one lane in the area from McDonalds to the Wye. West Main Street will be one lane from 6th Street to the Board of Education.

Fire and EMS access on the West End of Pike and Main Streets should not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
