NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor completed installation of the new main water line on Hamill Avenue to 24th Street, on Williams Avenue to 25th Street, and on 24th Street from Hamill Avenue to Williams Avenue, and continued installing customer services on Hamill Avenue. Street paving was completed on 14th Street from Franklin Avenue to WV Avenue, 13th Street from George Avenue to Goff Avenue, and Williams Avenue from 13th to 14th Street. Yard restoration and sidewalk repairs continued throughout the project.
Next Week’s Schedule:
Continue installing the main water line on 21st Street from Williams Avenue to WV Avenue and on Hamill Avenue from 24th to 25th Street.
Install customer service connections on Hamill Avenue, 21st Street, Williams Avenue, and WV Avenue.
Water service will be disrupted Tuesday and Wednesday for new main line tie-ins. Affected areas: Goff Avenue, Hamill Avenue, and Williams Avenue from 21st to 24th Street.
Closures and Parking:
NO PARKING signs will be posted in active work zones. Please find alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in work zones will be towed to a safe location if the owner cannot be located. If you need driveway access, please speak with the onsite contractor.
Hamill Avenue will be closed from 24th to 25th Street.
21st Street will be closed from Williams Avenue to WV Avenue.
The intersection of Hamill Avenue and 22nd Street will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Road closure and detour signs will be in place.
Fire and EMS service in North View will not be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The new main waterline was completed on Woodland Avenue toward the dead end and on Hall Street from Duff Avenue to Nicholas Street. Main line installation began on Hall Street from Nicholas Street toward Milford Street and on Duff Avenue from the dead end toward Joseph Street. Asphalt trench repairs were made on Euclid Avenue, and paving was completed on Ash Alley and Simpson Alley. Concrete sidewalk repairs and yard restorations continued throughout the project.
Next Week’s Schedule:
Finish main line installation on Hall Street to Milford Street and continue on Duff Street toward Joseph Street.
Continue new customer service connections on Euclid Avenue toward West Woodland Street and on Coolidge Street toward Hemsworth Way.
Continue concrete repairs and yard restorations in the Hartland Area and Temple Terrace.
Closures and Parking:
NO PARKING signs will be posted where work is ongoing. Vehicles parked in work zones will be towed if the owner cannot be located. For driveway access, please speak with the contractor onsite.
Nicholas Street will be closed from Hall Street to Carpenter Street.
Euclid Avenue will be closed from Coolidge Street to West Woodland.
Duff Street will be closed from Marian Street to Joseph Street, except for school buses and local residents.
Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area around the park will not be affected. Flaggers will be present to allow local traffic.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
Final milling and paving are scheduled to begin April 13th.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The contractor completed the last tie-ins between the new main water line and the existing main at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Washington Avenue. Temporary trench repairs with asphalt or concrete were completed and will continue next week. Paving was completed on Chestnut Street from Main Street to Washington Avenue and from Pike Street to Main Street. The remaining customer service connections on West Main and West Pike Street were also completed.
Next Week’s Schedule:
Complete tie-ins at the intersection of 3rd Street and Pike Street and at 3rd Street and Main Street (scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday), which will require a service interruption. Customers will be notified by the CWB.
Continue work on Traders Alley between Chestnut Street and 6th Street.
Closures:
One lane of Pike Street and one lane of Main Street will be closed at 3rd Street during the tie-ins.
Traders Alley will be closed from Chestnut Street to 6th Street.
Fire and EMS service will not be affected. Traffic will be managed by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Storm inlet work continued on West Pike Street from Chestnut Street to the Wye and will be completed next week. Inlet work at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Pike Street will be completed during night shifts on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sanitary line work began on Sumner Street this week and will be completed next week. Asphalt trench repairs were made this week and will continue next week.
Closures:
West Pike Street will be reduced to one lane from Chestnut Street to the Wye.
Sumner Street will be closed from Main Street to Pike Street.
The intersection of Chestnut Street and West Pike Street will be closed Tuesday through Thursday from 7 pm to 6 am.
Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike and Main Streets will not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
