NORTH VIEW AREA – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 1 - BEAR CONTRACTING
The contractor completed installation of the new main water line on Hamill Avenue to 25th Street and on 25th Street from Williams Avenue to Hamill Avenue. The new main water line on Hamill Avenue was tied into existing lines on both sides of 22nd Street. New customer service connections were installed on Hamill Avenue, as well as 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th Streets. Yard restoration and sidewalk repairs continued throughout the project.
Next Week’s Schedule:
• Continue installing the new main water line on 21st Street from Williams Avenue to WV Avenue and on 23rd Street between Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue.
• Install customer service connections on Hamill Avenue, 21st Street, and Williams Avenue.
• Pour concrete sidewalks and complete yard restoration between 15th Street and 20th Street.
Closures and Parking:
NO PARKING signs will be posted in all active work areas. Please use alternate parking during posted working hours. Vehicles parked in work zones will be towed to a safe location if the owner cannot be located. If you need driveway access, please speak with the onsite contractor.
• 21st Street will be closed from Williams Avenue to WV Avenue.
• 23rd Street will be closed between Hamill Avenue and Goff Avenue.
• Hamill Avenue will be closed between 15th and 17th Streets for concrete sidewalk repairs.
• Road Closed signs will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service in North View will not be affected this week.
HARTLAND AND STEALEY AREAS – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 2 - DOSS ENTERPRISES
The new main waterline was installed on Duff Avenue from Lewis Street to Baver Street, as well as on Marion Street, Baver Street, and Ridenour Street. Customer service connections were made on Euclid Avenue and Woodland Avenue. Concrete sidewalk repairs and yard restorations continued across the project.
Next Week’s Schedule:
• Continue main line installation on Duff Street toward Pick Street, on Baver Street toward Stealey Avenue, and on Joseph Street toward Collins Avenue.
• Continue new customer service connections on West Woodland Avenue and on Coolidge Street toward Hemsworth Way.
• Continue concrete repairs and yard restorations in the Hartland Area and Temple Terrace.
• Begin street milling in the Hartland area, including Bridge Street, Riverside Drive, Upper Hartland Avenue, Charter Street, Charter Street Extension, and South Alexander Avenue.
Closures and Parking:
NO PARKING signs will be posted in active work areas. Please find alternate parking during posted work hours. Vehicles parked in work zones will be towed if the owner cannot be located. For driveway access, speak to the onsite contractor.
• Duff Avenue will be closed from Pick Street to Hall Street.
• Baver Street will be closed from Duff Avenue to Stealey Avenue.
• Ridenour Street will be closed from Carpenter Street to Hall Street, except for school buses and local residents.
• Road Closed signs and flaggers will be in place—please use alternate routes.
Fire and EMS service to the Stealey area around the park will not be affected.
Flaggers will be present to allow local traffic.
CHESTNUT HILLS (KRAMER DRIVE) – CWB
CONTRACT NO. 3 - D&M CONTRACTING
Final milling and paving are scheduled to begin April 16th.
DOWNTOWN AREA - CWB
CONTRACT NO. 4W - INDEPENDENT ENTERPRISES
The contractor completed the new main water line tie-in at Main Street and 3rd Street and continued laying the new main water line in Traders Alley. Several temporary trenches were repaired with asphalt, and concrete sidewalks were repaired this week; this work will continue next week.
Next Week’s Schedule:
• Complete tie-ins at the intersection of 3rd Street and Pike Street.
• Continue work on Traders Alley between 6th Street and 4th Street.
• Continue concrete sidewalk and trench repairs.
• CWB work on Main and Pike Streets will be completed this week, aside from sidewalk repairs.
Closures:
• One lane of Pike Street will be closed at 3rd Street during the tie-in.
• Traders Alley will be closed from 6th Street to 4th Street.
Fire and EMS service will not be affected. Traffic will be managed by flaggers.
DOWNTOWN AREA (WEST END) – CSB
CONTRACT NO. 4S - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTING
Storm inlet work on West Pike Street from Chestnut Street to the Wye was completed this week. The new sanitary and storm lines were completed on Sumner Street between Main and Pike Streets, and that area was paved. Several sidewalks were repaired on the West End of Pike Street.
Next Week’s Schedule:
• Complete the last new storm inlet at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Pike Street on Monday night.
• Complete restoration work on West Main Street and West Pike Street, marking the end of Sanitary Board work on the West End, except for sidewalk repairs.
Closures:
• West Pike Street and West Main Street will be reduced to one lane at times from Wendy’s to 6th Street.
• The intersection of Chestnut Street and West Pike Street will be closed Monday from 7 pm to 6 am.
Fire and EMS service in the West End of Pike and Main Streets will not be affected, though traffic may be congested at times.
