The Stealey/Hartland section of the Lead Line Replacement Project is part of Phase 1 .
Timeline
The construction in Stealey and Hartland is currently underway and expected to be completed by December 2027.

Construction Details
Noise and Dust: Residents can expect some noise and dust during the construction period.
​
Varying Work Times: Work will be carried out at different times, including some night work to minimize disruption.
​
Road or Lane Closures: There will be road or lane closures to accommodate the construction activities. Alternative routes will be provided and marked appropriately.

Narrow Roads: Clarksburg's narrow roads will pose particular challenges, but the project team is prepared to handle these difficulties.

Lead Service Line Replacements: Some houses in Stealey and Hartland will need their lead service lines replaced. Read about what to do if your service lines need replaced.

Periodic Water Outages: There will be periodic, brief water outages as the work progresses.

Communication
The project team is committed to consistent and widespread communication with residents. Updates will be provided through the project website, Facebook, phone calls, newspaper updates, and home mailers.

A project inspector will be available for daily construction oversight and to serve as a public point of contact.
​
Funding
The project is largely funded by federal and state funds, with no impact on customer bills as rates have already been established for this project.
